The Goods On Tap app is developed by Retailization to give retailers the necessary information to improve shelf-productivity.
With Goods-on-Tap, you can make changes to your merchandise assortment by activating or deactivating styles and by changing suggested next orders to improve the availability of your bestsellers.
The Dashboard shows important measurements such as availability percentages, rates of sale, and sell-through percentages. The Stocklist shows product performance, filtered, and sorted on any key performance indicator. Shortages and redundant stocks (understocks and overstocks), as well as suggested next orders are made visible via the App.

Fact 1: Retail space for brands is typically fragmented into many points of sale, while demand is unpredictable. Because of this, brands and their distributors are continuously challenged to get the right product to the right place in time to meet consumer demand. Increased retail fragmentation via web-shops, multi-brand stores, shop-in-shops, and franchise formulae makes it even harder to accurately forecast retail sales of each item in each retail location.

Fact 2: When the shelf-life of a product is longer than its lead-time from a distribution point to the store, there are many opportunities to optimize inventory levels in the last mile of the supply chain to retail.

Fact 3: Retail assortments consist of fast movers, which together contribute 80% to the sales, slow movers (20%), and items that do not sell at all (nonmovers). When fast movers typically make up less than 20% of any store assortment, wrong distribution decisions can be very expensive, generating lost sales and markdowns.
