Palette Align is a match-3 puzzle game set in a Renaissance atelier. The player steps into a classical art studio and clears the board by swapping adjacent tiles to form lines of three or more. The atmosphere is elegant and calm: warm beige and cream tones, burgundy and gold accents, and a premium, intellectual feel. There are no cartoon styles, sparkles, or flashy effects—only clear, readable gameplay and a refined visual style.
The player swaps two neighbouring tiles on an 8×8 grid. Matching three or more of the same symbol in a row (horizontal or vertical) removes those tiles and awards points; longer matches (4, 5, or 6+) give higher scores. Tiles drop and refill instantly with no animations. After every move, the board is checked so that at least two valid moves always remain; if not, the board is reshuffled. The nine tile types are art-themed symbols: paint palette, brush, sculpture, scroll, vase, candle, crown, manuscript, and gem.
The game has 30 levels with increasing difficulty. Early levels focus on reaching a target score; later ones add move limits, collect objectives (e.g. gather a number of a specific symbol), and challenges that reward 5+ matches. Levels unlock in order, and each can earn one to three stars based on performance. Completing a level shows a “Masterpiece Completed” screen with score, moves used, and options to continue to the next level or return to level select.
The app includes a welcome screen (first launch only), a home screen with Play, Level Select, Achievements, and Settings, a full-screen level grid for all 30 levels, and the main game screen with level info, score, moves left, and the puzzle grid. Achievements (e.g. first level, 25 levels, 30 levels, large matches, three stars) are saved locally. Settings allow toggling sound and choosing a theme (Classic Sepia, Marble White, Royal Burgundy). All progress is stored on the device using local storage.
Palette Align is built as a production-ready mobile game with clean architecture, separated game logic, and no animations—state updates only. The UI uses rounded panels, soft shadows, and a clear typography hierarchy. The background is a static image of a classical artist’s studio; the overall look is premium and artistic, suitable for players who prefer a calm, thoughtful match-3 experience without visual noise or time pressure.
