That Antônio Conselheiro, a bearded backwoodsman, founded a city of fifteen thousand people in the middle of the caatinga and faced four expeditions from the Army? That the Quilombo dos Palmares lasted almost a century and was only defeated with cannons brought by a Paulista explorer?

Reconta Brasil brings together these stories in comic book series with audio. Each panel is a full-screen illustration with its own narration. Episodes are 8 to 12 minutes long. You follow along as if listening to a good grandmother telling the story — on the bus, before bed, or with your children.
