TracePlanes

TracePlanes shows the aircraft flying around you right now, on a clear live map, in a 3D view, and through your camera.

LOOK UP AND KNOW
Hold your phone toward the sky. TracePlanes labels the aircraft in view with its flight, type, altitude and distance. Tap a label for the details.

A MAP THAT STAYS OUT OF THE WAY
Every aircraft is drawn with its own silhouette and coloured by altitude. Tap one for its photo, type, registration, altitude, speed and heading, then follow it across the map.

FLY ALONG IN 3D
Open any aircraft in 3D and watch it move over real terrain with a model of its type.

ALERTS FOR WHAT YOU CARE ABOUT
Get notified when aircraft you are watching come near, or when something unusual flies over your home area.

YOUR SPOTTING NOTEBOOK
Log sightings with your own photos and notes, keep a watchlist, and earn achievements as you spot new types and airlines.

NO ADS. EVER.
TracePlanes is paid for by its members, not advertisers. The live map is free. TracePlanes Plus adds alerts that reach you when the app is closed, notebook sync across devices, saved aircraft and data exports. Try Plus free for 14 days, no card required.
