In Dots Link: Connect the Dots, players must join a series of vibrant dots that symbolize the character in order to solve a variety of problems. Drawing lines between matching dots to create a path that connects the same-colored dots while avoiding obstacles and following specific restrictions in each stage is the main mechanic of the game.

Connecting all the dots of the same color to form a continuous path from one to the next is the main goal. There are several grid-based levels in the game, with dots strewn all over the screen. To join the dots so that no two paths overlap, players must tap and drag. Since the routes cannot intersect, effectively controlling the space is the difficulty.
