Steadily.me

Steadily is a habit tracker built around a simple idea: win the week by keeping goals in sight.

Set a goal like work out three times a week, read twice, or meditate once. Any day can count. A busy Tuesday does not break anything. Miss a morning and there is still plenty of week left.

Keep it open on an old tablet on the table. You see it often, but it doesn't become annoying. You keep up with it because it fits into your life.

ALWAYS IN SIGHT

Steadily is meant to stay somewhere you can see it.

Leave it open on a table, a shelf, an old tablet in the kitchen, or a spare phone on your desk. Walk past, notice the habits you care about, and tap when you do one.

There is no alarm telling you to do something at 3:00 PM. No notification to swipe away and forget ten seconds later.

The reminder works because the habit is simply there, in a place you naturally look during your day.

A LIVING PAINTING OF YOUR YEAR

Your whole year stays on screen as a field of watercolor dots.

Each week you reach your goal, another week dries green. Over time, the little marks become a picture of how the year is actually going.

Fifty-two weeks tell a more useful story than one missed day ever could. You can glance at the year and think, "I'm doing pretty well." Or notice a rough patch and decide to give a habit more attention. Sometimes you realize the goal never fit your life in the first place, and change it.

The pattern matters more than any single dot.

REST WEEKS, BECAUSE LIFE HAPPENS

Sick? Traveling? Injured? Life sometimes needs the week more than your habits do.

Mark it as a rest week and it will not count against your year.

A rest week means, "I'm not quitting. I just can't do this right now." When the next week arrives, the habit is still there waiting for you. No guilt required.

GENTLE BY DESIGN

No daily streaks to lose. No badges. No guilt trips. No little tricks trying to pull you back into the app.

I built Steadily after repeatedly abandoning habit trackers myself. What I wanted was something calm enough to live with every day, and useful enough to keep using long after the excitement of starting a new habit wore off.

It is also meant to be nice to have around. The screen feels more like a watercolor painting than a dashboard, so leaving it visible in your home does not feel like leaving a productivity app open all day.

GIVE AN OLD DEVICE A SECOND LIFE

Steadily works beautifully on hardware you already own.

Put an old tablet from a drawer back to work. Leave a spare phone on your desk. Or keep it on the phone already in your pocket.

You do not need a dedicated display just to keep a few important things visible.

The painting changes with the light of the day, brightening in the morning and settling into calm, darker tones at night, so it feels at home in the room instead of glowing against it.
