REACT Wear

REACT Wear is the official app for registered participants in phase 1 of the REACT study (DETECT). This app is currently exclusively for consenting study participants.

By using the REACT app, you contribute to research that explores how everyday health data can be used to predict and prevent cardiovascular disease. You can share data that you already have and provide new insights as the study progresses.

What the app does:
- Securely connects to Apple Health to share relevant activity data with REACT.
- Lets you choose exactly which data you share, at any time.
- Does not collect GPS or location data. Your physical location is never tracked.
- Compatible with a wide range of wearable devices, or your smartphone alone.

Consent and privacy:
- Use of this app is covered by informed consent. Sharing of data is voluntary and you may opt out at any time.
- All data are analysed in aggregated form only and can never be linked back to you as an individual.

REACT Wear is a closed research app for the DETECT study (Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen University Hospital, Denmark and CNIC, Spain). It is exclusively available to registered, consented study participants in phase 1. Non-participants cannot create an account or use the app. All data collection is covered by informed consent and approved by the relevant ethics committee. The app collects passively recorded health and activity data via Health Connect to investigate how everyday health data can predict and prevent cardiovascular disease. Opt-out is always possible through the study.

DETECT is a prospective cohort study. A core objective is to identify which combinations of passively collected health variables carry predictive value for cardiovascular endpoints. This requires collecting a comprehensive set of variables at enrolment to enable unbiased discovery analyses. Restricting data types a priori would compromise the scientific validity of the study. Participants are informed of all collected data types and provide explicit consent before any data is shared.

This app does not provide personal health assessments, diagnoses, or medical advice. Participants should not expect to receive any individual feedback on their data.
