Frequent complaints include the app not opening, slow loading of stories, and breaking behavior of notifications and sharing. Some reviews mention outdated content and a cluttered UI. Overall, while the app may deliver timely, precise news, the user experience is hampered by ads and stability problems, with several users migrating to alternative apps.

Cons

Excessive, intrusive ads including pop-ups and full-screen takeovers.

I downloaded this app because I prefer and enjoy NBC 12 mornings, but lately the app only shows me We the people even though I am selecting the live broadcast. if the problem is not fixed, I will be uninstalling the app

The live stream constantly freezes and takes a very long time to load breaking stories (if they load at all).

downloaded the app to get news on a shooting nearby that happened 3 hours ago. nothing on the app. why bother having it? uninstalled

Accurate & precise.

The app is ok but the caption keeps turning on by itself on the live news screen and when I turn it off it keeps switching back on all on its own. Its not good bcuz there are things I want to see on the live news screen but it just automatically turns on and it blocks my view.

Got rid of this app the first day and went with SmartNews

This app very seldom opens

the worst news app. doesn't open when you click a notification. sharing an article is difficult.

doesn’t always work.

News stories take forever to load. By the time the story loads (anywhere between 30 seconds to a minute and a half) I've lost interest. Time to switch to another local news channel that doesn't have a broken app.
