RingGate is an Android application designed to give you complete control over your phone's interruptions. It acts as a smart gatekeeper for your incoming calls and app notifications, ensuring that only the people and apps that matter to you can break through the silence.

📞 Smart Call Management
• Default Silence: Automatically silences unexpected incoming calls by default.
• Custom Caller Groups: Create personalized groups (e.g., "Family", "Work", "Emergency") and add specific contacts to them. If a caller is in an active group, their call will ring through normally.
• Time-Based Scheduling: Restrict each group to specific days and time windows (e.g., only silence calls on weekdays from 9am–5pm) — RingGate automatically stands down outside your chosen hours.
• Privacy-First: Uses modern Call Screening APIs to identify callers without requiring your call log.

🔔 Advanced Notification Control
• App-Specific Permissions: Manage which applications are allowed to send notifications that actually alert you.
• Group-Based App Allowance: Link specific apps to your custom groups. Only notifications from these "allowed" apps will sound an alert.
• Keyword Allowlisting: Let notifications through based on their title or text (e.g., "urgent", "OTP") — RingGate even suggests safe keywords so one-time passcodes never get silently blocked.
• Notification Interception: Silences noisy, unapproved apps from interrupting your day without your permission.

• Unread & Read Tabs: A flat, newest-first Unread tab for quick triage, and a Read tab that keeps your full history grouped by app.
• Tap or Swipe to Review: Tap an unread notification to reopen exactly what it pointed to, or swipe it away to mark it read in one motion.
• Quick Actions: "Mark as Read", "Delete", "Allow App", or "Allow Caller" (by phone number and/or keyword) — right from the list, no digging through settings.
• Mark All Read / Clear All: Triage your whole history in one tap.

📊 Active Summary
• See at a glance exactly which contacts, apps, and keywords are currently allowed through, based on your active groups.

🗄️ Backup & Restore
• Export all of your groups to a JSON file, and import them back — replacing or merging with what you already have. Backups never leave your device unless you move them yourself.
