I strongly recommend avoiding the Rain Bird smart controller and app at all costs if you value your time. Setting it up and reconnecting it to a new Wi-Fi network has been extremely frustrating and time-consuming. I have never had so many problems with a smart device before. If you are looking for an irrigation system, I recommend choosing a different brand. If you must choose Rain Bird, go with a traditional controller that can be programmed manually rather than through the app. This has been

terrible experience so far, 90% of the time it will not connect without a reset. I am very disappointed as the rep at rainbird convinced me to upgrade to a wifi enabled controller. wish I wouldn't have.
