I bought the printer expecting to be able to use it right out of the box, but the app is essentially paywalled. It feels like 98% of the useful features require a subscription, making the printer nearly useless without paying even more after you've already purchased the hardware. Even after subscribing, you're still hit with limits on how much you can actually use certain features. Customers shouldn't have to buy a printer and then pay an ongoing subscription just to access basic functions.

I bought a printer from Phomemo, which they don't make, but supply the software that makes the printer work. After you buy the printer you have to pay to use their software that makes the printer work. Their subscription fee is expensive and I believe is a bait and switch scam. If you are thinking of buying the printer think twice. I think you will regret it.
