Quiet Rhythm

Quiet Rhythm - a timing game built around a single horizontal track and a pointer that slides across it from edge to edge. A green zone sits somewhere along the track, and one button below the track stops the pointer wherever it happens to be at that moment. A stop inside the green zone adds one point to the counter at the top of the screen, and a stop outside it takes away one of the three lives shown next to the counter. After every third point the pointer moves faster and the green zone becomes a little narrower, so each new round leaves a smaller target than the one before. The zone also changes position each round, and the pointer starts from the left or the right edge at random. A run ends once all three lives are gone, and the closing panel shows the score of that run together with the top result kept by the app. Difficulty can be set to three levels in the settings panel, and the chosen level defines the starting speed of the pointer and the starting width of the green zone for the next run. The same panel switches the sparkle and shake effects on or off, clears the top result and clears the whole progress history. A separate stats panel keeps the number of finished runs, the top result, the sum of all points, the average per run, the longest series of hits, the number of missed stops and the share of hits in percent, and every value there survives closing the app. A guide panel explains the rules of the track in a few short lines, and a pause panel is available at any moment during a run with options to continue, to start the run from scratch or to return to the menu. All screens are drawn in one candy style and the game runs in portrait orientation.
