Chalkery turns your device into a friendly classroom chore board, helping you assign daily cleanup tasks and rotate responsibilities with the charm of a real chalkboard. The Home screen gives you an instant overview with large chalk-drawn counters showing today’s total chores and how many are still waiting. Right below, you can see the day’s assignments on paper-note cards pinned to a cork strip, each clearly showing the student name and chore. A single tap on any card marks it done instantly, and a bright yellow chalk star appears in the corner to celebrate the moment. Head to the Chores tab to browse every assignment you have ever created, with white-bordered cards for tasks still to do and yellow-bordered cards for finished ones. A handy search bar at the top lets you filter by student name or chore name in a heartbeat, so you can quickly check who is responsible for sharpening pencils or wiping tables. When you are ready to set up new tasks, the Add tab presents a clean chalkboard panel with faint guide lines, making it easy to type in a chore name, a student name, and the date. Saving a new chore triggers a satisfying chalk-scribble animation, and the card joins your collection right there on the board. The Completed tab gathers every finished chore in one place, sorted by date and decorated with a small yellow star stamp, so you can review past responsibilities at a glance. Everything you enter stays safely on your own device because Chalkery uses local storage only, meaning no accounts, no internet connection required, and no student data leaves your classroom. The entire experience feels like a real chalkboard with a wooden frame, soft chalk dust smudges, and colorful chalk sticks in the tray that switch between the four main tabs. Because there are no check marks anywhere, only chalk-drawn stars on completed cards, the focus stays on positive recognition and a playful sense of accomplishment.
