StepAway: Walk the World

Every journey begins with a step.

StepAway is a cozy travel collection game inspired by everyday walks and time away from your screen. Carry your phone on a walk to earn mileage for a virtual trip. Put it down, enjoy your day, and return to new travel possibilities.

WALK TOWARD YOUR NEXT DESTINATION
Each step recorded by your phone's step counter earns 3 km of in-game mileage. This is a game currency, not your actual walking distance. Choose a departure city and plan your next stop on the world map.

TURN SCREEN-OFF TIME INTO EXPERIENCES
With Usage Access enabled, every 30 minutes with your screen off earns one experience ticket. When you reopen the game, StepAway calculates eligible time from recent system records. Using other apps with the screen on, or powering off the phone, does not count.

EXPLORE 17 CITIES
Travel from Taipei and Tokyo to Paris, New York, and beyond. Spend mileage on flights and tickets on local experiences. Enjoy up to three experiences per trip before returning home to plan another journey.

BUILD YOUR TRAVEL COLLECTION
Each city offers 15 souvenirs and 10 postcards. Earn souvenirs through local experiences, draw postcards with silver coins, and sell duplicate collectibles for coins. Complete city visit and collection achievements to fill your passport with stamps.

A LITTLE TRAVEL JOURNAL OF YOUR OWN
Watercolor illustrations, display shelves, a passport, and gentle travel music make room for a slower adventure. Play in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, or French. No account registration is required.

BEFORE YOU SET OFF
Automatic step counting requires a compatible step-counter sensor and physical activity permission where required. Screen-off tracking needs Android 9 or later and Usage Access. Up to three days of recent records can be checked; missing system history cannot be recovered. Location is optional and used when you ask to find a departure city. The game includes optional rewarded ads. Crash reporting can be disabled in settings.
