NMPIM Data Collection App

The NMPIM (Nigeria Multidimensional Poverty Index Map) Data Collection Application serves as a vital tool, jointly developed by NASSCO and NBS, to collect input data for evaluating Nigeria's Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI). This innovative app empowers registered NMPIM Data Collection Agents to efficiently capture field data using tablets, eliminating the need for paper forms, resulting in faster response times and enhanced accuracy.

The collected data covers various dimensions, including health, education, living standards, work, shock, and child development, and is subjected to thorough collation and analysis using advanced statistical techniques. This comprehensive approach yields the Nigeria Multidimensional Poverty Index, which serves as a crucial policy tool. It aids in identifying the most vulnerable populations across States and Senatorial districts, shedding light on areas of deprivation, and effectively targeting resources and designing policies to uplift the marginalized.
