Project520 – Advanced Parental Controls
Project520 helps parents protect their children from inappropriate content and dangerous contacts on Android. The app runs in the background and displays a visible notification when active, in accordance with Google Play's transparency requirements.

FEATURES
🛡️ Content Filtering
Automatically detects and blocks adult content by monitoring searches (apps and browsers) and using AI-powered visual analysis to identify inappropriate images in real time.

🚨 Suspicious Message Alerts
Project520 detects potentially dangerous messages received by the child: predatory approaches, requests to keep a secret, threats or harassment, and arranging meetings. The parent receives an immediate alert on their phone, along with a screenshot of the message in question.

📵 YouTube Shorts Blocking
Prevents access to Shorts, a frequent source of content unsuitable for minors.

💬 WhatsApp Channels Blocking
The "Channels" section of WhatsApp is blocked to prevent exposure to uncontrolled content.

🔍 Private Browsing and Discover
Blocks private browsing mode in browsers and the Google Discover feed.

⏱️ Screen Time and Curfew
The parent sets a daily limit; once reached, access is restricted until the next day, although the parent can leave certain essential apps available. A curfew mode also blocks access during the night, within a chosen time period.

📱 App Management
The parent remotely chooses which apps to block or allow on the child's device.

📍 On-Demand Location Tracking
From their own phone, parents can initiate a one-time location tracking session (for example, for the commute to or from school, if the device is lost or stolen). On the child's device, a leading service activates with a visible notification and uploads the GPS location for up to 3 minutes, then automatically stops. No continuous or silent monitoring is performed.

🔔 Ring the Device
Parents can remotely ring the device to locate it at home.

🔒 PIN Protection
Once protection is activated, settings can only be changed with a PIN.

ANDROID ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE
Project520 uses the AccessibilityService API to:

monitor the content displayed on the screen;
detect inappropriate keywords and messages;
close applications displaying unwanted content;
block unauthorized sections of YouTube and WhatsApp;
allow or block installed applications.

This permission is used exclusively for parental control purposes. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to third parties. The user is informed via an explicit consent screen before any activation.

TRANSPARENCY AND PRIVACY
Projet520 uses the UsageStatsManager API to calculate daily screen time. This data is processed locally and is not collected, transmitted, or shared with third parties.
The application is registered as a parental monitoring tool (isMonitoringTool) in accordance with Google Play's policy. It displays a persistent notification that is always visible when protection is active, clearly identifying that the device is being monitored.
Projet520 does not collect any personal data that is not necessary for the service and does not share anything with third parties. Visual image analysis is performed entirely on the device. Message alerts and GPS locations, triggered on demand, are routed through a secure server accessible only by the parent and are retained only for the time necessary to display them.
