User Reviews

Reviews generally praise 529 Garage’s bike-registration and theft-recovery concept, including its potential to help owners, police, and buyers identify stolen bikes. However, recurring reliability and usability problems can make it hard to create an account or register a bike, and some users report lost or duplicated information. Unwanted notifications are another repeated complaint.

Pros

Users value the app for registering bikes and improving the chances of recovering them after theft; several reviewers say it has helped bikes get returned.
Public stolen-bike listings and searchable registration details can help owners, police, and potential buyers identify stolen bikes and verify ownership.
Many reviewers praise the service’s overall usefulness and support for bike-theft prevention.

Cons

Multiple users report technical problems, including getting stuck on loading or account setup, difficulty completing bike registration, and buggy behavior.
Some users say bike entries, photos, or details are duplicated, disappear, or fail to save reliably.
More than one reviewer finds notifications difficult or impossible to disable, especially alerts about other people’s bikes.

Horrible I found my WildewayEbike on Facebook marketplace & had to wait two days & three phone calls later I set up a meeting with the thief. The officer that was supposed to attend to get my bike back got into a car accident? Ok? Relayed that no other officers are going to respond so I had to buy my bike back from the thief. I asked about the combination of my lock & while he was calling his buddy I unlocked it & said yeah that's my bike. No thanks to 529 Garage. Talk about dropping the ball eh
