Spirit Box: Ghost Box Radio

Most spirit box apps play random words from a hidden word bank and call it communication. SpiritBox doesn't.

REAL RADIO. NO WORD BANKS.
Every sound you hear comes from live radio stations swept in real time — never from word banks, recorded phonemes or speech synthesis. Like the original P-SB7 and Frank's Box hardware, fragments emerge from real broadcasts, static and sweep speed. Nothing is scripted. Nobody decides what you hear, and neither do we.

THE CLASSIC MODES
• SB7 sweep: 50–350 ms dwell, forward or reverse, white noise between hops like the original hardware
• Frank's Box: continuous glide across the band, echo chamber
• Estes Method: 200 ms, blacked-out screen, made for headphones
• FM and AM bands, ANC adjustable noise control
• Manual tuning: tap the band to hold a frequency

EVERY SESSION IS ACCOUNTABLE
Record your EVP sessions to raw WAV with a timestamped source log: TUNE, BLEED, AIR — every fragment traceable to the station that broadcast it. MARK moments live as they happen. Review with variable speed and reversed playback, the classic test for ruling out station bleed-through. Share a session straight from the app, log and all. Night mode keeps your dark-adapted vision on a long investigation.

If a fragment gives you chills, open the log and see exactly where it came from. That transparency is the whole point: with a word bank you'd never need to ask.

BUILT FOR PARANORMAL INVESTIGATORS
Ghost hunting is a field where the tools are rarely honest about themselves. SpiritBox is an ITC research instrument first: real sources, raw recordings, and a full audit trail of every session. Take it to a haunted location, run a sweep, and review the evidence afterwards knowing exactly what produced it.

Choose the country your stations come from — 41 of them — and the language of the fragments changes with it. Low-data mode cuts the bandwidth for long field sessions.

HOW TO TELL A REAL SPIRIT BOX
Put your phone in airplane mode and open the app. SpiritBox drops to bare static, because there is nothing stored inside it to play. Apps built on word banks keep talking. It takes ten seconds and it works on any spirit box app you own, including this one.

WHAT IT ISN'T
No EMF meter faked from your magnetometer. No word list dressed up as messages from spirits. No AI-generated voices. SpiritBox needs an internet connection because live radio is the entire point — if it worked offline, it would be playing something we chose for you.

For entertainment purposes. Audio comes from live, unmoderated radio broadcasts. Requires an internet connection.
