Barricade: Walls and Wits

Barricade is a classic 2-player strategy board game of movement and
blocking. Red versus Blue. One piece each. A 9×9 grid between you.
Race to cross the board — but your opponent is building walls to stop
you. The winner is whoever reaches the other side first.

On each turn you make one choice — move your piece one step, or spend
a wall to block the opponent's path. Every player gets exactly 10 walls.
Use them wisely.

Simple to learn. Surprisingly deep. Every game is a battle of patience,
foresight, and nerve.

HOW TO PLAY
• Move your piece up, down, left, or right — one square per turn.
• Or drag a wall onto the board to cut off your opponent's route.
• You have 10 walls total. Once they're gone, you can only move.
• First player to reach the opponent's starting row wins.
• Walls block both players — don't trap yourself.
• A path to the goal must always exist — walls that seal someone in
are rejected automatically.

ONLINE MULTIPLAYER
Create a private room and share the 4-letter code with a friend, or
jump into a quick match against a random opponent. Rated games affect
your ELO. A per-turn timer keeps matches moving — if your time runs
out, you lose.

STRATEGY DEPTH
Barricade rewards players who think ahead. Do you rush forward and
race to the goal? Or slow down and spend walls to force your opponent
into a dead end? The jump rule adds a tactical wrinkle — land on your
opponent's square and leap over them, but watch out for deflected
jumps that can send your piece sideways.

No cheat-codes. No pay-to-win. Just pure strategy.
