Device Security

Device Security protects your phone and personal data. Detect insecure settings, missing OS updates, unused apps, excessive app permissions and insecure WiFi connections. Get alerts on unauthorized device access attempts directly in your email. Take control of your device security and data privacy with our powerful tools.

Device Security uses the following permissions to scan and protect your device:
- Accessibility: to detect and warn you about potentially malicious APK file installations.
- Notifications: to send you security notifications.
- Overlay/Display over other apps: to display important alerts from Device Security so that you see them right away.
- Usage access: to identify apps that are unused or with excessive permissions.
- Location: to check if your WiFi network is secure, Device Security requires both the foreground and background Location Access. Device Security does not access/track/store your location.
- Background/Battery optimisation: to allow Device Security to run in the background and not restrict its battery usage.
- Device Admin: to detect failed screen unlock attempts by intruders, Device Security uses the Device Admin permission. Device Security does not read, modify or erase your phone data.
- Camera: to take photos/videos of intruders, Device Security uses the Camera permission.
- Gmail: to enable your Gmail to send intruder photos to itself — private and secure. Device Security will configure your Google Account to do this. No data can be accessed.
