Cyclope: Privacy Screen Filter

Cyclope turns your phone's front camera into a smart privacy filter. The moment a prying eye appears behind you, your screen dims instantly.

A BODYGUARD FOR YOUR SCREEN
• Real-time detection of your presence and of onlookers — entirely on-device
• You alone in front of the screen: a light privacy vignette
• Looking away or absent: stronger dimming
• Second face detected: maximum mask immediately, with vibration and a discreet notification
• Back to normal automatically as soon as the onlooker is gone

BUILT FOR PRIVACY — FOR REAL
• No Internet permission: the app CANNOT send data anywhere, enforced by Android at the system level
• No image or biometric data is ever stored: every frame is analyzed, then immediately discarded in memory
• No account, no ads, no trackers, no external analytics

SMART ABOUT YOUR BATTERY
• Auto-pause: screen off, phone face down, low battery, overheating
• Adjustable analysis rate (5, 10 or 15 fps)
• Releases the camera for your video calls and photos, then re-arms itself

CUSTOMIZABLE
• Filter strength and detection sensitivity on 5 levels
• Configurable inattention delay (1 to 5 s)
• Quick Settings tile: toggle without opening the app
• Glasses-friendly detection
• Local statistics: sessions, alerts, protected time
• Available in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian

TRANSPARENCY
A software filter cannot replicate a hardware viewing-angle privacy filter: the dimming applies to the whole screen, for everyone. Cyclope relies on behavioral detection — the same approach as the built-in "Privacy Screen" features of some manufacturers — to react before an onlooker has time to read.

PERMISSIONS USED
• Camera: face detection, processed locally, never recorded
• Display over other apps: drawing the filter on top of your apps
• Notifications: discreetly alerting you when an onlooker is detected

Minimal by design. Your screen looks at you only.
