Legal Price is a system that allows consumers in Maranhão to find the lowest price of a product in various establishments in the state.

The product is researched through its description, brand or bar code reading, where the consumer will have a price list, where they were practiced and by which establishment.

The average price available in the application is made by consulting the Electronic Invoices (NF-e) and the Electronic Consumer Invoices (NFC-e) issued by the establishments and which are transmitted to the State Department of Finance.

The consumer from Maranhão will be the main responsible for the functionality of the application, because, by requiring the invoice at the time of purchase, in addition to ensuring the search for the lowest price, will also exercise their right as a citizen, since it is the consumer who supports the ICMS payment, tax that is included in the price of the goods.

By demanding the bill the consumer ensures that the tax paid by him is collected to the public coffers.

ATTENTION: The management of the application is the State Department of Finance, the Government of Maranhão, and its function is to disclose the lowest price of products and goods, not representing consumption stimulus or quality indication. The price is obtained by the invoice value, which is updated each time the establishment makes a sale.
