Cyptid Corner

Step into Cryptid Corner—a gallery of eerie, high-resolution 4K vertical wallpapers inspired by folklore’s most elusive legends. Mothman, Bigfoot, Jersey Devil, Chupacabra and more lurk here in haunting detail. Apply any wallpaper instantly to your Home screen, Lock screen, or both with a single tap.

Add the optional Cryptid Companion Widget for a little extra flavor. A tiny cryptid perches on your home screen and plays Halloween year-round—he flaps his wings and changes costumes. Tap him and your wallpaper changes on the spot with a no-repeat shuffle so you never see the same thing twice in a row.

Stacks & collections:
(1) Stacks with my other apps: place this widget alongside Coulrophobia (and future titles) to build a spooky shelf.
(2) Collect them all: every app in the series includes its own companion widget.

Why you’ll love it:
⭐ 4K vertical wallpapers rooted in folklore, mystery, and mischief.
⭐ One-tap apply: choose Home, Lock, or Both instantly.
⭐ Widget bonus: tap to change wallpaper while the moth flaps & swaps outfits—with no repeats.
⭐ Respectful quiet hours: from 11pm–7am, the widget rests and resumes in the morning.
⭐ Smart battery sense: it slows itself when your phone is low on power.

Nothing fancy (on purpose):
💤 No wild animations. No flashy effects. Just simple flaps and outfit changes.
🧠 Lightweight & polite: minimal overhead, no constant busywork, and it stays out of your way.

How to use:
1️⃣ Open Cryptid Corner and pick your favorite 4K wallpaper.
2️⃣ Tap Set to apply it to Home, Lock, or Both.
3️⃣ (Optional) Add the Cryptid Companion Widget to your home screen.
4️⃣ Tap the moth anytime to change your wallpaper while he flaps & changes costumes.
5️⃣ (Optional) Place it next to Coulrophobia (and more to come) to stack your collection.

💡 About the developer
Help me get braver: I’m a self-taught indie dev, building small, weird, carefully-crafted apps because making them keeps me grounded and creative. Every release still feels a little scary, but your support genuinely contributes to my confidence and steers the trajectory of all my projects. If this app brought you a smile (or a shiver), please tap ★★★★★ and tell me! I’ve got more on the way—Coulrophobia, Ardent Angels, Haughty Hybrids, and more. Thanks for supporting this project. 💜
