Port Watch is a straightforward diagnostic utility designed for system administrators and tech-savvy users to scan network IP addresses, identify open ports, and maintain a detailed history of network changes without complex backend software.

Core Mechanics & Features:
Targeted Network Scanning: Run precise diagnostic checks on specific local IP addresses (e.g., 192.168.1.1). Verify your current connection status directly on the main dashboard before initiating a scan.

Flexible Scan Modes: Choose the exact scope of your network check. Select Common Ports to scan 25 well-known connection points, use Basic Range to sweep ports 1-100, or define a precise Custom Range tailored to your specific diagnostic needs.

Historical Scan Log: Track how your network changes over time. Access the dedicated history tab to review past scan results, compare previous checks, and spot when new ports open or close.

Automated Data Management: Keep your diagnostic records organized automatically. Enable the Auto-save results feature in the settings panel to ensure every scan is logged, or use the master Clear all history button to securely erase your local data.

Custom App Preferences: Configure the app to suit your workflow. Set your Default scan mode, enable Periodic scan reminders for routine checks, and toggle UI elements like Reduce motion for a cleaner visual experience.
