ShadeType: Privacy Screen

ShadeType is a privacy screen overlay designed to protect your typing from shoulder surfing in public places. It keeps your keyboard fully visible while covering the rest of the display with a subtle veil, helping shield messages, passwords, bank details, notes, and other private content on buses, trains, cafés, offices, classrooms, and waiting rooms.

Use the draggable control to turn the veil on or off, hold to briefly peek at your text, and let it disappear automatically when the keyboard closes. ShadeType works with Gboard, SwiftKey, and other keyboards across messaging, email, notes, browsers, banking apps, and social media. The optional Pro upgrade adds opacity, color and style controls, app-specific auto-veil rules, Quick Settings access, and startup settings. ShadeType uses Android Accessibility Service to detect the keyboard and foreground app, but does not read, record, or transmit typed text.
