PocketBench: AI App Builder

PocketBench is an Android IDE that builds real apps on your phone. No computer, no cloud build service.

• Build on the device: Kotlin, Java and Jetpack Compose apps, plus C/C++ through CMake or ndk-build, and Vulkan shaders. PocketBench compiles, packages and signs the APK, then installs it so you can try it straight away.
• Web apps too: make an HTML, CSS and JavaScript app, preview it instantly, and share it as a single file that opens in any browser.
• An AI agent that does the work: describe what you want and it reads your project, edits files, runs the build and fixes the errors it finds. It can open your app, test it, look at screenshots and crash reports, then hand the screen back to you when it's done.
• Your choice of AI: bring your own API key for Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, Ollama Cloud, Groq, DeepSeek or Kimi, or run a local model with Ollama, llama.cpp or LM Studio. Plan with one model and build with another.
• Know what it costs: built-in prices for popular models, your own price for any model, and spending limits that stop the agent before it costs more than you want.
• Plan first: have the agent propose a step-by-step plan, approve it, and watch it work through each step.
• Review every change: see the agent's edits as diffs, keep or undo each file, copy any message, and rewind a conversation to any earlier point.
• Git built in: branches, commits, cherry-pick, and push or pull over HTTPS or SSH.
• Share what you make: send your latest APK or web app to friends straight from the menu.
• Samples to start from: a tip calculator, notes, a stopwatch, a sketch pad, a camera app, a weather app and a Breakout game.
• In your language: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. The agent replies in the language you write in.
• Private by design: no accounts and no analytics. Your keys are encrypted on the device, and your code only goes to the AI provider you choose.

PocketBench Pro (subscription with a 7-day free trial, or a one-time lifetime purchase) adds release builds and signing keys, store-ready App Bundles and direct upload to Google Play, a terminal, MCP tool servers such as PixelLab, and C/C++ builds. Everything else is free.

On-device builds need Android 13 or newer, and C/C++ builds need a 64-bit ARM device. You need your own API key from an AI provider, or a local model server, to use the agent.
