Winpesa

Winpesa is a vocabulary app for learners moving between Italian and English. Pick a study mode and work through flashcards that show both languages on one card: Italian on the left, English on the right, separated by a dash. Winpesa keeps the layout simple so you can focus on reading and remembering word pairs.

✨ CORE FEATURES

Each card displays the full translation pair at once. Swipe right when you recognize the match. Swipe left when you want to see the same pair again in the current session. The gesture controls are shown on the study screen so you always know what each swipe does.

Winpesa includes spaced repetition logic. After you swipe, the app updates review timing for that word in local storage. Pairs you mark as known are scheduled for a later review date. Pairs you send back for review return to the queue and can appear again before the session ends.

🃏 FLASHCARD LAYOUT

Cards are rendered in a native study view with a dark themed interface, gradient backgrounds, and readable typography. Italian text uses a highlight color; English text appears beside it. If a pair is long, text size adjusts so both sides stay visible on the screen.

There is no card flip and no hidden answer side. The format is always: Italian — English. This matches the in-app Guide, which explains the layout in three short steps.

📂 DECKS

Winpesa organizes study material into four decks:

🔹 Daily Review — opens words that are due for review based on your saved progress. If no words are due yet, Winpesa loads the Basic deck so you can keep studying.

🔹 Basic — 10 starter pairs for early practice.

🔹 Intermediate — 10 pairs for the next step.

🔹 Advanced — 15 pairs for extended practice.

In total, Winpesa ships with 35 built-in Italian–English word pairs covering topics such as greetings, home, food, nature, school, family, travel, and polite phrases.

During a session, the header shows how many cards are left, how many you marked as known, and the name of the active deck.

📊 PROGRESS & SUMMARY

On the Decks screen, Winpesa displays how many words you have learned so far and how many are due for review today. These numbers come from your local saved progress.

When you finish a session, a summary screen shows how many cards you marked known, how many you reviewed again, and the total number of cards studied in that round. Progress is saved automatically on your device. No account registration is required to use the study features.

🔄 SPACED REPETITION

Review timing changes after each swipe. Known responses increase the interval before a word appears in Daily Review again. Review responses reset the word to a shorter interval so it can return sooner. Daily Review uses this schedule to select due words when you tap Study on the home screen.

Winpesa opens to a home screen with three sections:

Buttons and panels are sized for comfortable touch use in portrait mode.
