Features & Capabilities

ZalTV Player is a straightforward and intuitive IPTV player tailored for large screen usage and remote control navigation. It enables users to stream their own IPTV content by entering a 10-digit activation code linked to an M3U Playlist URL obtained via ZalTV.com. This extension does not provide any IPTV content itself; users must supply their own playlists. Leveraging FFmpeg technology licensed under LGPLv2.1, ZalTV Player offers a reliable and user-friendly streaming experience optimized for TV boxes and large displays.

User Reviews

Users praise ZalTV for its simple, clean interface, smooth/stable playback and overall reliability compared with other IPTV apps. Major recurring problems are unreliable EPG support, activation/code and device‑management issues, limited API/format support (e.g., Xtream Codes, MPEG‑DASH), and slow or failing m3u loading.

Pros

Simple, reliable and easy-to-use interface with smooth playback and easy controls
Good performance and stable playback for daily use; described as neat/clean
Considered better than many alternatives and useful for remote user management

Cons

Unreliable/poor EPG support (EPG disappears, requires paid conversion or extra workarounds)
Activation/code and account/device management issues (missing or one‑day trial codes, playlist empty after inserting code, no way to view/remove connected devices)
Limited API/format support (reports of no Xtream Codes API support and limited MPEG‑DASH/.mpd handling)
Slow or failing m3u loading (very long load times or never completes)

Recent reviews

I really enjoy using it because it’s simple and reliable for watching my favorite content anytime. The smooth playback and easy controls make it a great app for daily use.
