PhotoSwipe puts your own photos and videos on your home screen—fast triage, fullscreen playback, and a clear path from “maybe delete” to actually freeing space.

Home Screen Widgets
Install one of three home screen widgets: PhotoSwipe (2×2), PhotoSwipe (3×3), or PhotoSwipe Wave (4×5). The smaller layouts show a stack you can drive with Like, Dislike (queues gallery items for trash review), and Skip so another random pick appears. Wave shows a grid of cells with Like, Delete, and Skip per tile, plus a control to refresh all photos when you want a new shuffle. You can also jump straight to the in-app delete queue when you need to approve removals.

Fullscreen Photos and Videos
Open any item large. For video: play or pause, turn sound on or off, and replay from the start. In Settings, “Loop videos” controls whether a clip repeats in fullscreen or the app advances to the next item after a single play. Optional “Backdrop motion” adds a slow pan-and-zoom on the blurred background behind your media.

Liked, Trash, and Batch Flows
Like items you want to keep—they appear under /liked. From there, select multiple files and use Move to trash to batch-queue them, or use Update for a bulk pass that removes likes you no longer want; progress overlays show counts and how much media that represents. Disliked gallery photos and videos go to /trash for review: inspect the grid, play or share from the toolbar, remove individual items from the queue if you change your mind, then delete with the system’s confirmation. Summaries and toasts report how many files were removed and how much storage was freed. Where Android requires it, allow video access separately so video deletes are not blocked.

Folders and Sorting
Use “Sort folder” to order items by date added, date edited, or date taken; by most liked; by top videos; or by most viewed. The breadcrumb toggles oldest-first versus newest-first.

Edit, Save, and Share
Rotate still images, enter edit mode with aspect-ratio guide overlays (switch between landscape and portrait guide sets), pan and zoom inside the frame, crop using the selected guide region, then save when you have real edits—saves can go to your gallery or to Pictures/PhotoSwipe as appropriate. Share works for on-device gallery photos and videos. An optional stats pill in fullscreen can show likes, loops, and views for the current item.

Settings, About, and Friday Summary
Settings and About host toggles for the stats pill, video loop, backdrop motion, and the weekly summary card, plus links to LinkedIn and Buy Me a Coffee. With the weekly card enabled, the first time you open the app each Friday you can see a friendly recap—space freed from deletions, counts, and install context—with an option to hide it for good or change the behavior later in Settings.

Permissions in Plain Language
PhotoSwipe reads your images and videos through Android’s photo and video permissions (including partial or “selected photos” access where the system offers it) so widgets can surface random items, the app can browse folders, and you can preview, queue, confirm deletes, and save edits. Data stays on your phone; this app is not a cloud backup service and does not upload your library for remote scanning.
