The Quill Heatmap is a personal journaling app built around one simple idea: showing up every day matters. Write freely, reflect on your thoughts, and watch your consistency take shape through a color-coded calendar heatmap that spans across months.

There is no account to create, no subscription to manage, and no data leaving your device. Everything you write stays on your phone, private and local.

Each day you write, the heatmap fills in with color. Days stack into weeks, weeks into months, and you get a clear picture of your journaling habit at a glance. Some days you write a paragraph. Some days you write a page. Both count.

The app includes a handful of avatar illustrations so you can give your profile a personal touch. A clean dark and light theme keeps things comfortable to read at any hour. On first launch, a short two-screen onboarding walks you through the basics.

The home screen is organized as a card grid — each section has its own tile, so navigation stays simple and direct. No cluttered menus, no hidden drawers.

If you have never journaled before, the heatmap gives you a quiet reason to start. If you already journal regularly, it gives you something satisfying to look at.
