Tessera

Tessera is a pixel-art color-by-number game built around calm, focused filling. Each of its seven built-in paintings is a grid where every cell carries a small number, and the palette along the bottom of the screen holds the matching numbered colors. Tap a color to select its number, then tap cells to fill them — place the right number and the cell locks in with its color; place the wrong one and a bright red outline snaps around that cell so the mistake is impossible to miss and easy to fix. As a painting fills in, the picture emerges gradually from a field of numbers into a finished piece of pixel art.

The whole experience is designed to be tactile and forgiving on a phone: pinch to zoom into dense areas, pan around large grids, and see at a glance how much of each color is left to place. A progress indicator tracks completion per painting, the selected color highlights every remaining cell that belongs to it so you always know where to go next, and finished paintings are saved so you can come back to a gallery of everything you've completed. There's no timer and no pressure — it's about the satisfaction of a grid slowly resolving into an image.

Everything runs fully offline and stays on the device — the seven paintings ship inside the app, your progress on each is saved locally, and there's no account, no ads, and no connection required. Tessera is deliberately built as a proper multi-screen application with a real data layer and saved state, not a throwaway single-page toy.
