Photo Seal turns a photo taken with your smartphone into legal, certified, and verifiable digital proof.

In simple terms, when you take a photo, this is what happens:

1.The photo stays on your phone.
Photo Seal does not publish your image and does not show its content to anyone.

2.The app creates the digital fingerprint (hash).
The hash is the mathematical fingerprint of the photo, a unique code that identifies the file.

3.EXIF data and geolocation are protected.
EXIF data also becomes part of the digital fingerprint in the form of a mathematical hash: it is not published, shared, used for other purposes, or stored on Photo Seal servers.

4.The server receives the digital fingerprint (hash) + Google verification.
Photo Seal sends the hash and a Google Play Integrity token to the server to confirm the app’s authenticity and the device’s integrity.

5.The server does not rely on the app’s word alone.
It verifies directly with Google:
Is this the original app from Google Play?
Is the device intact and untampered with?

6.If the verification is not passed.
The image is not certified.

7.If verification succeeds, the image is sealed.
The server immediately records the digital fingerprint (hash) on Base Mainnet, an Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain, generating a public transaction, a QR/verification link, and a downloadable digital certificate for each photo.

An ordinary smartphone photo is only an image, and can be challenged in legal proceedings.
