Perfect Landing Pilot

Perfect Landing Pilot - a short approach game where a single-engine plane flies toward a lit night runway and the player controls only its height with two buttons, one to climb and one to descend. Holding the descend button trades altitude for airspeed and holding the climb button bleeds that speed away, so the plane has to be levelled off before the gear touches down. A counter at the top of the screen shows the metres left to the end of the strip, a panel below it reports whether the plane sits above, below or on the correct glide path together with the current wind strength, and a readout shows airspeed in kilometres per hour. The strip lights up green once the plane is over the touchdown zone and the speed sits inside the safe band, and turns amber when the zone is reached with the speed still outside it. A touchdown counts as clean when it happens over the strip, within the allowed speed band and without an excessive sink rate; landing before the strip, running past its far end, arriving too fast, losing lift on final or dropping onto the gear too hard all end the approach and show a summary screen with the distance flown and the total length of the run. Each approach is generated from its number, so the flight brief screen describes exactly the conditions ahead: the wind, its strength label, the length and surface of the strip and a short piece of advice. Later approaches bring stronger and gustier wind, a shorter strip, wet or icy surfaces that reduce the tolerance for a hard touchdown, and a narrower band of acceptable speed. Completed approaches are kept between launches along with the fastest clean landing time shown on the main screen, and the settings screen allows vibration feedback and the on-screen glide hints to be switched off or the saved progress to be cleared.
