We purchased Penpowers scanner pen to help with our son's reading. But this app won't start without access to contacts. There is no way that the functionality of the app needs this information. Uninstalled the app and returned the pen. Edit: Dev comment doesn't change anything. If specific niche functionality needs to be walled off due to insufficient permissions that's one thing. But locking the entire app behind the most sensitive permissions screams either "spyware" or a poorly written ap
