Peck and Speed

Welcome to Peck and Speed — a compact concept-driven quiz experience set in a cozy autumn forest atmosphere. The player is greeted by a friendly chicken wearing a hat, inviting them to test their English vocabulary through visual recognition and quick decision-making.

The core idea of Peck and Speed is simple and focused. In each round, the player sees an image of an object related to the autumn theme. Three English word options are presented on the screen, and only one of them correctly matches the image. The task is to choose the correct option and confirm the decision by pressing the “Submit” button.

Each round is limited to 15 seconds, encouraging concentration and speed. After submitting an answer, the game provides immediate visual feedback. A correct answer triggers a green screen flash for one second, while an incorrect answer results in a red screen flash. In both cases, the next round starts automatically without interruptions.

A full session consists of 20 consecutive rounds. When the game ends, the final result is displayed in the format “x/20”, where x represents the number of correct answers. If the achieved score is higher than previous attempts, it is automatically saved in the Records list, allowing players to track their progress over time.

The application is designed to respect player flow. If the game is minimized or the user switches to another app, the current session is automatically paused. Upon returning, the player continues exactly from the same moment without losing progress.

Peck and Speed combines clear rules, consistent feedback, and a calm seasonal setting, creating a focused environment for vocabulary practice through repetition, timing, and visual association.
