User Reviews

AR Measure [Ruler] is free and usable without signing up, and it can function as a ruler via the phone camera with non-intrusive ads. Its accuracy is highly dependent on proper calibration, and many reviews report inconsistent results across devices or conditions. The app often requires careful setup, and lacks unit customization (no cm option) and can exhibit scaling bugs or reliability issues. Overall, it’s a helpful tool when calibrated correctly, but reliability varies and users should manage expectations.

Pros

Free to use with no sign-up required
Ads are present but not intrusive
Can use the phone as a ruler and supports camera-based measurements
Accurate when properly calibrated (grid lines and setup improve results)
Useful for quick, real-world measurements and ballpark estimates

Cons

Accuracy is inconsistent across devices and scenarios; results can be off or unreliable
Calibration/setup is required and not always intuitive to achieve accurate readings
Inability to change units (e.g., to cm) or adjust the measurement scale
Several reports that the app doesn't work reliably or crashes
Occasional scaling/reading bugs (misreading measurements or incorrect large values)

Has ads but they are not intrusive. Unlike other apps which require sign up accounts, this one doesn't. Works well and accurately can use phone as ruler too.
