Plantation Campaign Monitoring

The Plantation Campaign Monitoring System is an innovative app developed by the HP Forest Department for the 2018-19 statewide plantation campaign. The campaign engages multiple stakeholders including government departments, local communities, NGOs, and schools to plant approximately 15 lakh seedlings over 600 sites across Himachal Pradesh within three consecutive days in July. The app enables real-time monitoring of plantation progress via mobile devices using precise geographic data and photographs.

Designed to increase transparency and public involvement, the app allows designated personnel to frequently update plantation status, while dignitaries and citizens can access live progress reports. It supports participation by providing site contact details and encourages widespread community engagement to promote environmental conservation efforts in the region. Available free on Google Play Store, this system marks a pioneering approach to ecological campaign management in the state.
