At selected stations in the participating towns of Demitz-Thumitz, Kirschau, Obergurig (Bautzener Oberland) as well as Bischofswerda, Großröhrsdorf and Pulsnitz (West Lusatia), stories are told about how industry changed and shaped people's lives in Upper Lusatia over the past centuries. You will learn something about economic heydays and crises, about stonemasons, weavers and mechanical engineers, about technical innovations and the improvisational talent of the employees of the GDR's state-owned companies. In each of the participating locations, the stations are accessible by foot, mostly for children too.
