Pause uses Android's Accessibility Service to power its core app-blocking feature. When you start a focus session or turn on a block, Pause uses the Accessibility Service to detect when one of your blocked apps is opened so it can show a focus/block screen and help you stay on task.

Pause uses the Accessibility Service only to provide this app-blocking and focus functionality that you choose to turn on. Pause does not collect, store, sell, or share your personal or sensitive user data, screen content, or browsing activity through the Accessibility Service, and no data gathered through it is used for advertising or any purpose unrelated to blocking distractions.
