Pause & Pray: App Blocker

Your phone interrupts your day with a hundred small temptations. Pause & Pray turns those interruptions into invitations.

Choose the apps that pull at you — social media, news, games. Pause & Pray is a Christian app blocker with a gentle difference: each time you open one of them, it first offers a short prayer or a verse of scripture. Read it, say Amen, and the app you wanted opens. You stay in control the whole time; nothing is ever locked away for good.

WHAT YOU ARE GIVEN
• Five prayer books, each in its own tradition's words: Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, Anglican (from the Book of Common Prayer) and Celtic blessings — thirty classic prayers in each
• Your own prayers: write one, speak it, or photograph a prayer card, and it joins your pauses
• Bible verses: an encouraging verse of scripture at each pause, from the Douay-Rheims or the World English Bible
• The Bible in order: read the whole Bible a verse at a time, from wherever you choose to begin — and when one verse is not enough, read on to the next before you say Amen
• A daily check-in: how has your day with God been? Choose an answer, then write a line or speak it
• A journal: your last thirty days set as stones around the cross — gold when God felt near, lapis when far — with every entry kept month by month, and a search to find your own words again

MADE FOR UNHURRIED READING
Large, clear text. One thing on the screen at a time. Buttons you cannot miss. Built with older readers in mind, and comfortable for everyone.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No ads. No tracking. Your prayers, journal and reading progress stay on your phone — we run no servers and could not read them if we wanted to. The whole Bible is on your phone too, so Pause & Pray works offline: every pause opens without the internet.

ABOUT THE ACCESSIBILITY PERMISSION
Pause & Pray uses Android's accessibility service to notice when one of your chosen apps is opening, so it can offer the pause. It reads only the technical name of the app coming to the screen — never your messages, passwords or screen content — and nothing leaves your device. You switch it on yourself, and you can switch it off at any time.

TRY IT FREELY
Two days free, everything included, from the moment you choose them. Then keep Pause & Pray with a single one-time purchase — no subscription, nothing renewing. If you choose not to buy, the pauses stop, and your journal, prayers and reading progress remain yours to read, always.

One pause at a time, choose God first.
