User Reviews

Users appreciate the app's extensive food intolerance information and find it very helpful in daily life. However, many face challenges with the default German language setting, as changing the language to English is not intuitive and inconsistently applied, particularly in sublists. Users suggest clearer guidance for language settings and more transparency on rating criteria. Additional expansions on intolerances covered are also requested.
Pros
  • The app provides helpful information on foods related to intolerances, useful for daily life.
  • The app supports multiple languages, including English and German, with a way to change the language in settings.
  • Users find the app a time saver and useful for managing food intolerances.
  • The app includes a wide variety of food categories and related details.
Cons
  • The default language is German, which can be confusing for English-speaking users.
  • Language change is not applied consistently; sublists remain in German even after switching to English.
  • The language change option is not obvious and not clearly explained in the UI or instructions.
  • Some users are unclear about how ratings are determined and requested more explanation.
  • The app currently lacks information on some intolerances like Salicylates and glutamate/glutamine, which users have requested.

Dear developer! I would like to use the app in English, so I changed it from German to English in the Settings menu. The seting DOES change the main menu to English, and also the main list of foods, but it DOES NOT change the sublists language. For example: I see the following in the main foods in English: - Alcoholic beverages - E-numbers - Vinegar etc. But if I go into any of these, then the sublist will be displayed in german: - Bier - Champagner - Dessertwein, Süß etc. Please help!
