Panchang: Hindu Calendar works out the panchang — the panchangam — for the exact place you are, not for New Delhi.

Most Hindu calendar apps quietly assume India. If you live in California, London, Sydney or Singapore, that assumption can put your tithi, your muhurat and sometimes your Ekadashi on the wrong day. This app computes everything topocentrically, from your own latitude, longitude and time zone, so what you read is true where you are standing.

Festival dates are resolved against the tithi prevailing at your own local sunrise. That is why an Ekadashi in California can legitimately fall a day apart from an Ekadashi in Chennai — and why this app shows you your date rather than India's.

BUILT TO BE CHECKED
Sidereal positions use the Lahiri ayanamsha. Rise and set times allow for refraction. Time zones come from the IANA database, so daylight saving is handled properly. The app covers 1950 to 2050. And where it cannot compute a value with confidence, it says so rather than showing a number that might be wrong.

PRIVACY
Your location is used on your device to work out your timings. You can also simply search for a city instead of granting location access.
