PagePeek - Web Widget Maker

PagePeek turns any part of a web page into a home screen widget, and shows the same picture as a Wear OS tile on your watch.

Pick a chart, a price, a table or a headline once. PagePeek reloads that page in the background and redraws just the part you chose, so the number on your home screen is the number on the site.

WHAT YOU CAN PUT ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
• A region of a page, saved as a picture — charts, maps and tables that no text extractor can read
• A text value read straight out of the page
• Anything a normal browser can reach: log in, follow links, use the site's own search, then save the screen you end up on

HOW IT WORKS
1. Tap Add item and load an address.
2. Browse to the screen you want, exactly as you would in a browser.
3. Tap Image, then drag a rectangle around the part to keep.
4. Preview it, name it, save it.
5. Add the PagePeek widget to your home screen and tick the items to show.

BUILT FOR THE HOME SCREEN
• The rectangle you drag is what gets saved — no cropping surprises later
• Rectangles snap to whole-number ratios, and the shapes of the widgets you have already placed are offered as targets, so the picture fills the panel
• Adjustable background opacity, down to a picture with no frame at all
• Tap a row to open its page in the browser; ↻ refreshes at once, ⚙ changes which items a widget shows

WEAR OS TILE
A paired Wear OS watch can show the same picture as a tile. The watch downloads nothing and renders nothing — the phone sends the picture it has already made, so the tile costs the watch almost no battery. Save an item in Watch mode and it is cropped to a circle that fits the round screen. The watch app works only alongside PagePeek on the phone; it does nothing on its own, and it is not installed automatically with the phone app. Search for PagePeek in the Play Store on the watch, or open the PagePeek page in the phone's Play Store and choose ⋮ → Install on more devices, then add the tile.

REFRESH ON YOUR TERMS
• Per item: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1, 3, 6 or 12 hours, or once a day
• Refresh hours per item, so a market page stops refreshing when the market closes — windows that cross midnight work too
• Wi-Fi-only mode
• Failures never blank the widget: the last good value stays, with a line saying what went wrong and what to do about it

PRIVACY
PagePeek loads the pages you choose, in the app, on your device. Page content is never uploaded anywhere. Logins and cookies stay in the app's own browser storage. The diagnostic log is copied only when you tap Copy diagnostic log.

NOTES
• Some phones — Samsung and Xiaomi among them — stop background work under their power-saving policy. The app explains the two settings to change.
• A page that changes its layout may need its region drawn again under Edit.
