Paddle Spin

Paddle Spin is table tennis seen from directly above, which is the view that makes spin readable.

Drag your paddle to move it, and the direction you are moving at the moment of contact puts spin on the ball. Brush across it and the ball curves; catch it flat and it goes straight and fast. Topspin dips the ball down onto the table so you can hit harder without going long; backspin floats and dies short. The curve is drawn honestly, so you can see what you did.

Serves are their own small game. A serve with heavy side spin kicks off the bounce and beats an opponent who is standing in the wrong place, and the legend-level AI will punish a lazy one.

The three difficulties are genuinely different players rather than the same player with faster reflexes. Novice pushes everything back. Pro attacks a loose ball. Legend reads your spin and returns it with interest.

The tournament runs you through eight opponents in a bracket, and the results screen counts winners, smashes and aces so you can see whether you won on quality or on their mistakes.
