Repeated Android instability, frequent camera/Wi-Fi disconnects, flaky notifications, and login/account issues overshadow the benefits. Regional feature gaps (EU) and missing landscape mode further affect perceived value. When the app functions, it’s helpful, but the recurring issues limit trust and daily usability.

Recent reviews

Owlet recently added a "noise filter" to the dream sight, but didn't seem to even test it, because if a white noise machine is used in the same room as the baby (which is a very common use case), any cries from your baby will also be filtered out and you will hear nothing from the live audio feed even at max volume. The other shocker is that they don't give the option to choose whether you want the noise filter on or off, since it's now on by default permanently.

it used to be good. it always had its issues like needing to force close for the cameras to come up. but the biggest problem is we have 2 kids and 2 cameras. you can only watch one at a time. fine. annoying because other apps don't. but fine. but the you used to be able to hear audio from both at the same time. and recently we have been unable to do both audios at one time. and on another android device in the home the audio only ever works for one of the cameras and not the other.

Camera feed often stops working part way through the night and I have missed noticing my baby crying because I was relying on it. But night mode has clear camera, and nice to have it accessible on the phone. Unfortunately, it is just not as reliable as it should be. Don't waste your top dollar on this.
