Overall, users value Outdooractive for its strong maps and routing planning, with route snapping, and for helping discover new hikes and bike routes when traveling. The platform is seen as feature-rich across devices. However, recurring negatives dominate: a cluttered UI, pricing and subscription management concerns, search reliability issues with duplicates, and limitations in the watch app. Layout changes and occasional bugs also appear. It’s powerful and useful, but usability, cost, and consistency concerns persist.

Excellent maps and routing/planning features with route snapping to paths
Very useful for discovering routes and planning trips while traveling
Long-standing, feature-rich app with broad capabilities across devices
GPX/track import support enabling online track imports

Cons

UI/UX is cluttered and unintuitive; planning flow can be confusing
Pricing concerns (not free and often expensive)
Subscription management issues (difficulty cancelling/renewals)
Search/map search reliability issues (duplicates and poor matches)
Wearable/watch app limitations and navigation ending when reopening the app

(edited, was 4 Stars) works great, generous free tier as well for everyday people. Only minus point is that you can't pin a place on the map to route to, you have to look for a specific building or body of water to fill in and then you can route there. this would be great if added!:D -EDIT- Apparently you could always just hold and press on the map to route there! app works great now, thanks!
