Features & Capabilities

User Reviews

Overall, users praise the app as a generally reliable remote replacement that works across devices and is especially useful when no physical remote is available. However, reliability varies by device, with several reports of not working (including Pixel 8 Pro), and features are often limited. Security and privacy concerns recur, including virus warnings, ads, spam prompts, and data collection prompts. Some users also note limited brand support and IR requirements. Experience seems highly device-dependent.

Pros

Generally works well for basic remote control tasks across devices.
Useful when you have no physical remote; versatile across classrooms and devices.
Positive user feedback and praise (e.g., "best remote app", "great app", "works wonderfully").
Generally easy to use and meets expectations for many users.

Cons

Not consistently functional across devices/remotes (some users report it doesn’t work, including Pixel 8 Pro).
Security/privacy concerns: warnings of viruses/malware, ads, spam prompts, and data-collection prompts.
Limited features and controls: basic on/off works but many options are unavailable and some commands don’t work.
Compatibility/brand limitations: only a few brands supported; infrared/blaster requirement can limit use.
