Background Location Access: This app uses location information to scan nearby A10 sensors and collect and transmit temperature data in real time, even when the app is closed or not in use.

Due to the nature of cold chain monitoring, background location permission is mandatory to continuously detect the device status and provide alarms even when the user is not viewing the app.
