Code Kemono Barcode Dex

Code Kemono is a collecting game. Scan a product barcode and one creature is born from that number.

Its appearance, type, stats, moves and name are all calculated from the digits of the barcode. Scan the same product and you will always get the same creature, on any device and at any time. The fridge, a bookshelf, a shopping bag — the numbers already around you become your collection.

The camera is used only to read barcodes. Images are never stored or transmitted, and scanned numbers are kept on your device. Creatures are generated entirely by local calculation, with no product lookup or other network access. If you decline camera access you can still play by entering numbers by hand.
