FireWatch TR: Orman Yangını

FireWatch TR is a fire tracking and early warning application that monitors forest fires in Türkiye using NASA satellite data. Live fire map, location-based fire alerts, and regional risk analysis are all in one application. No account required; free and ad-free.

LIVE FIRE MAP
Thermal anomalies detected by NASA FIRMS program's VIIRS and MODIS satellite sensors are displayed on a map of Turkey for the last 24 hours. Detections are classified according to confidence level; searching and filtering can be done by province and region.

LOCATION-BASED FIRE ALERT
When automatic scanning is enabled, the application checks for new detections every 15 minutes in the background and sends a notification when a new thermal detection occurs within 50 km of your location. The application does not need to be open. Fire alerts are free under all circumstances.

NEARBY VIEW
Detections within 100 km of your location are presented in a separate list with distance, detection time, and risk level.

REGIONAL RISK ANALYSIS
Risk scores updated every three hours for Türkiye's seven geographical regions, based on temperature, humidity, wind, and satellite detection numbers. The highest risk region and total detection numbers are displayed on a single screen.

FIRE REPORTING
You can report a fire you observe along with your GPS location. Reports are evaluated by comparing them with satellite detections in the region.

NEWS
Forest fire and natural disaster news compiled from Turkish news sources, displayed on the same screen as satellite data.

SAFETY GUIDE AND EMERGENCY
Recommended steps according to risk level, actions to take in case of smoke and evacuation; one-touch calling 112 (Emergency Call), 177 (Forest Fire Reporting Line), and 122 (AFAD).

DATA LIMITATIONS
Satellite sensors measure temperature anomalies on the ground, not the fire itself. Therefore:
• Not every thermal detection is a forest fire; industrial facilities, stubble burning, and other large heat sources can also be detected. • A detection being removed from the list does not mean the fire has been extinguished; extinguishing results cannot be inferred from satellite data. • Cloud cover may interfere with detection. Satellites pass over Turkey several times a day; fires that start between passes may appear with a delay. • Small fires may be below the sensor resolution.

FireWatch TR is an awareness and early warning tool; it is not an official reporting, intervention, or evacuation source. Call 112 or 177 if you see a fire.

PRIVACY
The application does not require you to create an account. Location information is only used for nearby view and fire alerts; background location permission is optional and can be turned off at any time.
